Tunku Putra-HELP utilises the International Primary Curriculum. The school has been ranked among the top 20 schools worldwide and is the first school in Borneo to receive this esteemed accreditation.
The IPC is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject, international mindedness, and for personal learning.
Each Unit follows the same process that facilitates learning:
There are three types of Subject Learning Goals which serve as the foundation of IPC:
There are eight identified attributes (IPC Personal Learning Goals) that should be fostered and nurtured in all children and the development of each of them leads to improving learning. We call these our Personal Values and we all aim to be resilient, thoughtful, ethical, empathetic, collaborative, communicative, adaptable and respectful.
The IPC’s International Learning Goals help our students begin the move towards an increasingly sophisticated national, international, global and intercultural perspective and develop a sense of ‘international mindedness’.
We define International Mindedness as a ‘Ripples Mindset’ that develops an understanding of the Self and the world around it; embraces similarities and differences in ever increasing circles; respects other perspectives; expanding awareness beyond ourselves; producing global citizens that contribute positively to the world.
